What kind of possibilities do the customers/sub-suppliers have, who are not equipped with the software to edit parts containing features created with our software?
If customers/sub-suppliers do not have the software, they can only view the parts. In case the “intel_a” directory of the Moldware software is passed on to customers/sub-suppliers, they can edit these parts but not the MWF-holes contained therein. This means: if a hole is defined “up to next” and the “next” changes, the hole will adapt. However, it is not possible to edit, for example, the diameter by double clicking on the hole.

Error message: "MWF-... Licence not available"!
1st possible solution: Check settings under "Tools" -> "Options" -> "Mechanical design" -> "MWF Tools" -> "General". Please note: To make changes effective, restart CATIA.
2nd possible solution: In case a firewall has been installed, it is possibly necessary to deactivate the firewall. If the licence is then available, the port 19000 has not been released. This one is used by the licence server and therefore, it must be released. Afterwards, the firewall can be reactivated.
3rd possible solution: When closing CATIA, the MWF licence used by the computer will be released. If Catia has been opened more than once and if one of these CATIA is closed, the licence of the computer will be released. Thus, there will be no more licence for the CATIA which are still open.

Data base is not obtainable by the clients
If the threads, tolerances, etc. predefined in the database are not availiable in the dialog, there is no connection to the database.

Where are basic program settings carried out?
Under "Tools" -> "Options" -> "Mechanical design" -> "MWF Tools“, it is possible to carry out settings for the database server and for the licence server as well as for the several modules.

Copy database and licence server to another computer!
Copy database and licence server to another computer! Install database and licence server onto the new computer (with the installation CD);
stop database on the original computer (under "System control" -> "Administration" -> "Services" ->"MySql");
copy mw directory (under "moldware" -> " mysql" -> " data") from the original computer to the new computer;
start database on the new computer (under "System control" -> "Administration" -> " Services" -> " MySql");
Start MWF-Bore administrator (under "Programs" -> "moldware" -> "MWF-Bore administrator") and log in to the database;
Read the licensing key for the new computer under "Extras";
Start licence server (under "System control" -> "Administration" -> "Services" -> " NT-LServ");
Restart CATIA.
