| By means of the common data pool, MWF-Toolkit provides all areas involved in the product development process with the PDM functionalities. The management of the central data is implemented by the MWF-Project program. Additional design functionalities are made available by the MWF-CATIA-Tools. For example, parts are loaded, positioned and installed by means of predefined structures in CATIA in one step. Using intelligent features with all manufacturing information is a matter of course. Furthermore, the parts are provided with additional information, master data and costs, etc. which can be used extensively by the downstream areas. For the first time, direct cost control is possible between planning and design. The transfer of the information relevant to construction (e. g., fit tolerances) to all common CAM modules via direct interface makes the system perfect. | |
